Am pornit mai departe prin județul Constanța, spre Istria, cu o scurtă oprire la Gura Dobrogei, în comuna Cogealac.
We started further through Constanța County, towards Istria, with a short stop at Gura Dobrogei, in the Cogealac commune.
La Gura Dobrogei // At Gura Dobrogei
Între Târgușor și Gura Dobrogei există o serie de formațiuni geologice de interes: Peștera Liliecilor și Peștera La Adam (pe care noi am ales să nu le vizităm acum, pentru că ar fi necesitat traversarea râului Vistorna, iar noi nu eram echipați corespunzător) și Rezervația Naturală Gura Dobrogei. Rezervația este așezată în Podișul Casimcei, iar relieful destul de jos, chiar și cu șoseaua pe alocuri inexistentă, a permis intrarea vehiculului Google Maps, astfel că puteți parcurge online tot drumul care urmărește limita stângă a Rezervației și, astfel, vizita virtual Gura Dobrogei.
Between Târgușor and Gura Dobrogei, there are a series of geological formations of interest: the Bat Cave and the Adam Cave (which we chose not to visit now, because it would have required crossing the Vistorna River, and we were not properly equipped) and the Gura Dobrogei Natural Reserve. The reserve is located in the Casimcea Plateau, and the low relief, even with the sometimes non-existent road, allowed the entrance of the Google Maps vehicle, so you can travel online the entire road that follows the left boundary of the Reserve, thus virtually visiting Gura Dobrogei.

La un moment dat, din drumul comunal se face o intrare înspre interiorul Rezervației, către Mănăstirea Sfântul Dionisie și Efrem cel Nou. Această intrare trece prin pădure și, prin spatele bisericii, (am auzit ulterior) se poate trece râul pentru a vizita peșterile mai sus menționate.
At some point, from the county road, there is an entrance towards the interior of the Reserve, towards the Monastery of Saint Dionysius and Saint Ephrem the New. This entrance passes through the forest and, behind the church, (we heard later) you can cross the river to visit the aforementioned caves.

Biserica se află în incinta unei mănăstiri, accesul fiind astfel restricționat la anumite ore - noi am ajuns când era închisă, am fotografiat-o de afară, și am ales în schimb o plimbare prin catedrala naturală de alături - pădurea.
The church is located within a monastery, access being restricted at certain hours - we arrived when it was closed, we took some photos from the outside, and instead, we chose a walk through the nearby natural cathedral - the forest.

Ne-am distrat, eram doar noi pe toată șoseaua, am făcut poze și am plecat mai departe, către Cogealac. Aici, cumva din întâmplare (asta se întâmplă când îți iei timp să explorezi pe îndelete), am descoperit cea mai mare fermă eoliană din Europa (și, implicit, din România), Ferma Eoliană Cogealac-Fântânele, iar cum eu sunt leșinată efectiv după morile de vânt, fie ele bătrâne sau tinere, nu am putut rezista tentației de a coborî și a face câteva poze.
We had fun, we were the only ones on the entire road, we took pictures and then continued towards Cogealac. Here, somewhat by chance (this happens when you take your time to explore thoroughly), we discovered the largest wind farm in Europe (and, implicitly, in Romania), the Cogealac-Fântânele Wind Farm, and since I am absolutely fascinated by windmills, whether old or young, I could not resist the temptation to stop and take some pictures.

De-aici am continuat către Istria, pe un drum absolut terifiant (DC78) prin câteva sate uitate de lume. Dat fiind că nu s-au legat lucrurile cum trebuie în această zi (biserica - închisă, peșterile - inaccesibile, drumul - pe alocuri aproape impracticabil), n-aș putea spune că a fost dintre destinațiile mele de top dar, fiindcă tot mai sunt lucruri de văzut în zonă, voi mai veni, mai bine pregătită și cu niște nervi mai tari...
Până atunci, vă las cu ultimele impresii despre loc (precum și cu interiorul bisericii, pe care nu am apucat să-l vedem live), filmate cu drona (via Nelstill).
From here, we continued towards Istria, on an absolutely terrifying road (DC78) through several forgotten villages. Since things didn't quite work out as they should have on this day (the church - closed, the cave - inaccessible, the road - in some places almost impassable), I couldn't say it's one of my top destinations but, since there are still things to see in the area, I will come back, better prepared and with stronger nerves...
